The Hostin-kovo company was founded by the Hostin family in 1992 under the name HOSTIN – Štefánia Hostinová. The company was and still is engaged in the production and processing of sheets and metal materials and the production of bird barriers. From the very beginning, the company has focused primarily on first-class product quality, delivery reliability and a flexible approach to customer needs. Since its foundation, Hostin-kovo is still based in the western Slovak town of Smolenice, in the birthplace of the founders.
Spike barriers
In 1993, the production of spike barriers against bird nesting was launched. This product is still available today and more than 90 different types of barriers are currently manufactured.
Technology
The development of the company did not stop and adapted to the current market requirements, not only by recruiting new workers, but especially by expanding and improving the quality of the machine park, which changed the originally predominantly manual production to machine production. Today, the company has extensive machinery facilities, such as diode laser, wire straighteners, punching and bending presses, wire cutters, laser marking machine, spot welding machines and more. A fully automatic washing machine for metal bars with an integrated dryer is not only more environmentally friendly, but above all brings a further increase in quality and a significant increase in efficiency. It shortens the process of washing and drying metal rods from 15 to 20 hours to an incredible 45 minutes. The company’s priority has always been top quality, efficiency, technological progress and modernization.

Our products are popular and you can see them in many historical monuments, public buildings or even in international airports.
More than 30 years on the market
The Hostin-kovo company is still capable to bring innovative solutions to the market. It can develop a new product to order, propose a design, produce components for it, test the new product and set up technological production processes using the most modern equipment. That is why it is still a competitive company and in 2024 it has already been 32 years of successful operation on the Slovak market.
