In this category are electric barriers with V-shaped carrier rods with insulators at the ends, in which electrically conductive rods (electrodes) are placed. A source (generator) of electrical impulses of approximately 16 mA at approximately 5000 V is connected to the electrodes. Discharge energy max. 0.7 Joule is safe, but will keep fly-in birds at a sufficient distance from the electrodes and thus prevent them from landing on the protected area. The V-shaped carrier rods are welded to the 1 m long carrier belt. If necessary, several such barriers are placed one behind the other and their electrodes are conductively connected by 40 mm long stainless steel springs. The system is suitable for long windowsills, ledges, exposed surfaces or edges of buildings.
